Original language description
This paper describes the application of economy-wide material flow analysis to the economy of the Czech Republic. Relevant indicators are derived on the basis of accounts and balances of material flows compiled for the Czech Republic for 1990-2002. The results show that indicators of material flows decreased during the period analysed by approximately 30-50%. It is demonstrated that also material intensity and DPO and TDP share in GDP decreased significantly. Finally the reasons for recorded decrease ofmaterial flow indicators are discussed

Tento článek popisuje aplikaci analýzy materiálových toků na makroekonomické úrovni v České republice. Výsledky za časové období 1990-2002 ukazují, že indikátory materiálových toků vtomto období poklesly o 30-50 %. Je také ukázáno, že došlo k výraznému poklesu materiálové intenzity a podílu indikátorů DPO a TDO k hrubému domácímu produktu (HDP). V článku jsou dále diskutovány příčiny tohoto poklesu
