Segregation of nucleolar components coicides with caspase-3 activation in cisplatin-treated HeLa cells

  • Original language description

We studied morphological changes of the nucleoli in HeLa cells traeted with cisplatin and compared them with induction of markers of programmed cell death and TUNEL staining. Remarkable segregation of nucleolar argyrophillic proteins, nucleolar RNA and asimultaneous activation of the cascade od caspases markedly preceded the TUNEL positivity in cisplatin-treated heLa cells.
