Importance of hydrosurgery in healing ischemic foot ulcers
Original language description
We compared the results of healing chronic wounds using hydrosurgery and conventional surgical debridement. Patients treated with hydrosurgery needed 1.3 operations on average for wound purification. We marked 80% success in the treatment. Sharp debridement patients needed 3.5 operations on average to purify the wound. We noted 58% success in the treatment. We detected shorter time for completed healing in hydrosurgery patients (3 months on average) in comparsion with the sharp debridement patients (5 months on average)
