Evaluation of Hemostatic Efficacy of Newly Prepared Potential Hemostatic Agents Based on Collagen and Modified Cellulose
Original language description
The aim of the study was the evaluation of newly synthesized combined materials with collagen and carboxymethyl cellulose. Porcine collagen, equine collagen, carboxymethylcellulose, and combined materials consisting of collagen and carboxymethylcellulose were evaluated and compared with conventionally used material (Tachosil®) in a rat partial nephrectomy model. The assessed parameters included time to hemostasis and the dynamics of the tissue reaction 3 and 30 days after the procedure based on histopathological and immunohistochemical examination.
