EVALUATION OF THE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF MORUSIN IN A MODEL OF INDUCED PLANTAR EDEMA IN LABORATORY MICE
Original language description
Prenylated phenols are natural substances that are used in traditional medicine for their wide range of biological effects. Morusin is a prenylated flavonoid isolated from Morus alba with various biological activities, such as antitumor, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. The anti-inflammatory activity of morusin has been described in vitro, and inhibition of NF-κB and STAT3 activity has been demonstrated. The next step in the investigation of the biological activity of these natural compounds is to verify their anti-inflammatory potential in vivo.
