Identity and Values within "New Age" in the Central Europe
Original language description
The project considers relationships of participants in the holistic milieu activities to "religion" connected with religious organizations (churches, denominations, etc.) established in the region. A preliminary qualitative research will be done to clarify the ways by which participants in the milieu differentiate themselves from other actors in the religious field or in society in general, and to find out whether or not the notion of "dogmatic religion" plays a key role in this process. Besides the "anti-religious" mode of identity, other modes are considered, such as various overlaps between "spiritual" and "religious" activities and identities. Results of the research held in the Czech Republic are compared with available data from Poland.
