The text presents the theoretical outcome of the opening stage of a research project named Leadership in the Processes of Organizational Learning in Schools. The analysis is aimed at how the processes of organizational learning are generally defined anddeveloped and what is known about the reality of organizational learning in schools. The authors also see the quest for defining signs of organizational learning as another step towards an integrative theory of organizational learning, herewith commenting on the possible specifics of school practice.
