  • Original language description

This article deals with the printed underground magazine brought out by a group of members of the Verni zustaneme (We Shall Remain Faithful) Petition Committee resistance organization. The magazine came out from September or October to November 1939. Externally (in its format, cover and cover text) the individual issues either resembled cheap trash literature booklets (hence the magazine was called Detektivky), or they had a cover resembling pre-Christmas advertising pamphlets. However, the contents were made up of texts focusing on the occupiers and collaborators at home (with reports, commentaries, appeals, poems, satirical glosses and the like). The article presents a detailed description of the magazine content, demonstrating inter alia that the undisputed author of the anonymous appelative poem Vzkaz (Message) was Frantisek Halas. A section of printed text samples is attached.
