EXPERIMENTAL COMPUTER PROCESSING METHOD TO ANALYZE MOTION DATA

  • Original language description

Using video data processing method a spatial attractor was found - the zone. It is defined by spatial human activity. The research question was to determine whether there is a relationship between zones and the basic emotions. The PANAS scales were used to examine the positive and negative affect. The dimensions are associated with (appetitive) approach and (aversive) escape behavior. Positive or negative emotions should thus influence the choice of the place where people are located. Two- hour video of the junction near Vltavska in Prague was analyzed and two zones were identified. In each of those zones questionnaires containing PANAS scales (Positive and Negative Affect) and Osgood Semantic Differential evaluating the zone were administered. The results were compared between the two zones. Although respondents felt one zone to be more stressful than the other there was not found any difference in the PANAS scales.
