Green Propaganda of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile : Environmentalism and Ecological Tendencies as Self-marketing Strategies of the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA)

  • Original language description

In this paper, based on a discourse and propaganda analysis of the official political rhetoric of the CTA and the PRC, I wanted to briefly present, compare and critically evaluate the latest environmental and ecological narratives of both warring parties in the propaganda war primarily for Western public opinion. The aim is to show how both camps work today through audiovisual, textual or museum media with self-marketing, often black-and-white and polarizing visions of various issues related to the Tibetan question, especially the ecological and environmental ones.
