Original language description
This article focuses on the question in which way artificial intelligence challenges creation of technical standards and the process of product homologation. The goal of this article is to a) explain, why technical standards are a necessity and cannot be supplemented by legislation, b) provide an insight on selected issues of the development of applicable technical standards in the EU and c) identify the key legal as well as technical barriers towards adoption of new technical standards for this technology.
