Original language description
The aim of the article is to analyse the EU legislation concerning fight against discrimination based on disability in employment. The first part is dedicated to the notion of disability and its interpretation in the case-law of the CJEU. It analyses the role of the social approach to disability in the interpretation of the notion of disability by the CJEU. The second part is dedicated to forms of discrimination on the grounds of disability in professional life. Particular attention is paid to indirect discrimination based on disability and the right to reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities. The third part analyses the impact of the EU legislation concerning fight against discrimination on the grounds of disability and its interpretation by the CJEU on national law of the Czech Republic.
