Original language description
This chapter opens with the summary of the history of the measurement and analysis of marriage homogamy in the 20th century. It then moves on to findings of research on educational homogamy prior to and following 1989 in the Czech society. And finally itputs the findings on educational homogamy in the Czech population within the context of homogamy measurement after 1989 in other post-communist countries of the Central European region (Slovakia, Poland and Hungary).
