Integrating psychotherapy approaches in practice: The case of Training in Psychotherapy Integration trainers
Original language description
Combining the Multiple Case Study approach and methods of qualitative analysis the author presents a cross-analysis of common aspects in practice of trainers of the Training in Psychotherapy Integration who identify themselves as integrative psychotherapists. The goal of the study is to deepen an understanding of how psychotherapy integration is practiced in clinical settings: how therapists think about and employ concepts or techniques from several psychotherapy approaches when facing a client. The author analyzes transcripts of discussion recordings on how trainers of TPI work and unstructured interviews with the TPI trainers.
