Mediation of elicitin activity on tobacco is assumed by elicitin-sterol complex
Original language description
The links elicitor and sterol-binding properties was assesed by the use of site directed mutagenesis of Tyr 47 and 87. Ligand replacement strongly suggests that the formation of sterol complex is a requisite step before elicitins fasten to specific receptors.
