Toxicological effects of bromide ion in the rat
Original language description
In the present studies, performed both under conditions of sufficient iodine supply as well as of a mild iodine deficiency, we have confirmed our earlier observation that bromide toxicity is dependent on the state of iodine supply to the organism. Hypothyroidism, which was caused by high bromide levels, was much more pronounced under conditions of iodine deficiency.
