The influence of electron-electron collisions on electron thermalization in He and Ar afterglow plasmas

  • Original language description

The electron energy distribution functions for electron thermalization in helium and argon afterglow plasmas have been calculated taking into account electron-neutral and electron-electron collisions. This work shows that electron-electron collisions canlead to the Maxwellization of the electron energy distribution function and thus to different rates of electron thermalization.
