Application of a new method for electroosmotic flow measurement to coating characterization in capillary electorphoresis of proteins

  • Original language description

The quality of the inner surface of capillaries in CE is critical. Problems come mainly from adsorption of the peptides (proteins) on the surface and due to the fact the biomolecules are sensitive to changes in ionic strength, pH, and/or temperature of the electrolyte. Therefore, modification (coating) of the fused silica capillary is often necessary for separation of proteins and peptides.
