Variable temperature NMR studies on tautomerism of purine derivatives
Original language description
Purine derivatives such as adenine is known to have several tautomeric forms. In their studies low temperature NMR has shown to be a useful tool. Tautomeric equilibria of purine and its derivatives is very important for their significant biological activities - antitumor and antiviral properties. As continuation of our previous studies we have done systematic multinuclear magnetic resonance investigations for several aminopurines in order to determine their tautomeric preferences. Tautomerism was studied in purine, 2,6-diaminopurine, 6-furfurylaminopurine, 6-mercaptopurine and 6-benzylaminopurine in DMF-d7 and MeOD-d4 at low temperatures by NMR spectroscopy.
