    Morphological characterization of three subaerial Calothrix species (Nostocales, Cyanobacteria)

  • Original language description

    This paper characterizes and discusses the concept of species Calothrix braunii, C. capitularis spec. nova and C. parietina which were identified on subaerial rocky substrates in gorges of the Slovenský raj National Park in Slovakia. This paper is focused on phenotypic characters, i.e. natural and cultural morphological variability. Their variable and stabile phenotypic markers are discussed.
