Web and ICT Competencies in different types of SME
Original language description
In this paper we investigate the correspondence between information and communication technology (ICT) competencies, web presentation and the type of their business area. We explore what are the most important criteria of web presentation in successful growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) according their business area (some company are service oriented and the others are producers). This view brings some interesting results. We have evidence that a long-term growth can be predicted from the web presentation and types of industry or services with high accuracy. We also show which attributes of the web page are the most important for that prediction. This investigation helps to SMEs to improve their competitiveness, better communication with customers and to find a proper internet marketing strategy.
