VideoWeb for (prospective) teachers of English as a foreign language: an evaluative study based on perceived benefits
Original language description
In the paper, we present results from user evaluation of IRSE VideoWeb, a video-based e-learning environment for student teachers of English as a foreign language (EFL). IRSE VideoWeb seeks to aid student teachers professional development (esp. professional vision) by using web-based video and guided discovery approach. The research question is what the individual perceived benefits are that students report after completing each module and whether these differ in different modules.Students answers to aconsolidation question after each module (What did you learn in this module?) were analysed (content analysis. It appears that the students see the benefits mostly in the area of: information/rule/impulse to think/impulse to act?.
