The article explores the challenges and developments in educating visually impaired pupils in Czech primary schools. While acknowledging problems such as large class sizes and a lack of knowledgeable pedagogues, the article cites positives like improved peer relationships and tolerance among pupils. It outlines relevant Czech legislation providing equal conditions for pupils with special needs and describes the vital role of early care services and special needs centres in supporting visually impaired pupils from an early age through university.
