Methods of Personality Development In Adapted Physical Activity for Individuals with Special Needs: Enhancing Employability

  • Original language description

This study explores the current challenges in the employability of persons with disabilities in the labour market. Drawing on the theory by Lazarová and Kolar (2007), the research addresses four core areas of personal development: individual self-awareness, social skills, self-transcendence, and professional competence. The target group consists of individuals aged 18-60 years with various disabilities. The methodology includes qualitative data collection through questionnaires and interviews, coupled with practical applications of personal development methods such as social and psychological training, active listening, group dynamics, and psychomotor activities. Preliminary findings indicate that the application of these techniques, especially in unconventional physical activities, significantly contributes to personal growth and social integration. The study concludes that these methods offer valuable insights into enhancing employability and personal development for individuals with disabilities, thus providing a roadmap for future interventions.
