ENHANCING BALANCE IN PARKINSON’S DISEASE: COMBINING NEUROMODULATION AND PHYSICAL THERAPY
Original language description
The presentation introduced a doctoral research project investigating the effects of combining transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) with stability-focused exercise training on postural control in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The study design of a randomized controlled trial, key intervention parameters, and planned outcome measures, including clinical balance scales and objective biomechanical assessments were outlined. The project aims to integrate neuromodulation with evidence-based rehabilitation and to develop a standardized intervention protocol applicable in neurorehabilitation practice.
