Public financing of sports in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
Original language description
Our paper analyses systems of public support to sports in two new European Union (EU) countries. The paper summarises data on the volume of public grants for sports, and also discusses how these resources are distributed, along with their problems. The paper reveals several interesting, almost identical problems in both countries, connected with the distribution of public resources to sports on the base of too strict budgetary rules.
