This paper aims at examining how network structures can influence rural tourism and the performance of a selected mountain tourist destination. The research investigates the interactions between tourism stakeholders and also reveals motives for involvement in such a type of collaborative relationship. The theoretical part is based on a literature review and summarizes current knowledge describing destination and network governance in terms of approaches and research findings. The case study research, conducted as part of current university research, gives an account of the experience of the most important stakeholders from the mountain resort of Vsacko ? a destination located in the tourist region called East Moravia. The data was collected by means ofin-depth interviews and structured questionnaires. Municipalities, restaurant owners and other tourism service providers, as well as the destination management organization, participated in this study.
