Creative Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Language Teaching
Original language description
This paper shares experience with a successful implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)-enhanced language learning in the university environment. Masaryk University Language Centre-Centrum jazykového vzdělávání engages in teaching, research and project activities that focus on design, development, evaluation and implementation of novel courses and ICT tools in diverse areas, such as CEFR, flexible materials format, authentic situations, creative processes, community-of-practicecommunication and ICT-enhanced language learning. Outcomes of recent projects (INVITE, COMPACT, IMPACT) indicate that the ICT-enhanced approach can play a fundamental role in improving language learning and in fostering more complex learning environments. Examples of CJV MU courses, activities and tools present multimedia and ICT as an integral part of the language learning process.
