    Disazodyes Based on 1,4-diamino-2,5-disulphobenzene

  • Original language description

Secondary disazo dyes based on 1,4-diamino-2,5-benzenedisulphonic acid were prepared. The synthetic route is based on the selective monodiazotisation of 1,4-diamino-2,5-benzenedisulphonic acid without any protection of the amino groups. Syntheses gave puNMR spectra of model compounds were recorded and analysed. The structure of the prepared dyes was confirmed by Negative-lon Electrospray Ionization (ESI) Mass Spectrometry. The dyeing of wool and polyamide showed acceptable wash fastness. The light fastnin order to be applicable in the textile industry.
