This article deals with education in the field of logistics. It was found that there is in general too little educated people in logistics. On the basis of repeated investigation within the plants of chemical industry it was found, that high-quality system of education is missing in these plants, namely for top managers of logistics. Educational activities are rather focused on the specific needs of individual employees. Reasons of this unfavourable status and possibilities of education in the field oflogistics are here discussed.
