    The properties of PMMA coatings depending on PVC and pigment particle shape

  • Original language description

    The aim of this work was to study the influence of Pigment Volume Concentration (PVC) and particle shape of pigments on mechanical properties of PMMA coatings. Polymer composites based on polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) were prepared with different PVC anddifferent particle shape of fillers. The mechanical properties were measured using the dynamic thermomechanical analysis (DTMA) i.e. the module of elasticity (E?) and the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the test specimens were specified.

  • Czech description

    Cílem práce bylo studium vlivu PVC a tvaru částic pigmentů na mechanické vlastnosti povlaků na bázi PMMA. Byly připraveny polymerní kompozity na bázi polymethylmethakrylátu s různým obsahem OKP pigmentů a s různým tvarem částic. Mechanické vlastnosti byly měřeny pomocí dynamické termomechanické analýzy (DTMA) stanovením modulu elasticity (E?) a teploty skelného přechodu (Tg).
