    CHARACTERIZATION AND TESTING OF INORGANIC FILLERS IN WATER-BORNE COATINGS

    The aim of this work was to study the influence of Pigment Volume Concentration (PVC) and particle shape of fillers on mechanical and anticorrosion properties of water-born coatings. Water-borne coatings based on copolymer styren-acrylate dispersion andpolyurethane dispersion were prepared with different PVC (quotient 60 % and 80 %) and different particle shape fillers based on calcined kaolinite. The physicomechanical properties of coating films were ascertained by means of measuring the film hardness, shock resistance, cupping stability in Erichsen instrument, bending strength and adhesion by the grid method. The anticorrosion coating film properties were ascertained in a condensation chamber with a condensing humidity, a salt-spray chamber and dipping test into 5 % solutions of acid brine, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and sulfuric acid.

    Cílem práce je studium vlivu objemové koncentrace pigmentu PVC a tvaru částic plniv na mechanické a antikorozní vlastnosti vodouředitelných povlaků. Vodouředitelné povlaky na bázi styren-akrylátové disperze a polyurethanové disperze byly připraven s různou hodnotou PVC (kvocient 60 a 80%) arůzným tvarem částic na bázi kalcinovaného kaolinu. Byly stanoveny fyzikálně mechanické valstnosti filmů jako je povrchová tvrdost, pružnost, tažnost, odolnost úderu a přilnavost mřížkovou metodou. Antikorozní vlastnosti připravených filmů byly studovány v kondenzované vlhkosti, solné mlze a ponorovým testem v 5% roztoku NaCl, NaOH a H2SO4.
