Microfiltration of Lewatite particles through ceramic membrane
Original language description
The aim of this work was to study microfiltration of Lewatit suspension under various hydrodynamic conditions. Lewatit was used as ion-exchanger for zinc from solution and influence of this heavy metal to microfiltration process was investigated. Lewatitsuspensions with different concentrations were performed in microfiltration mode using asymmetrical ceramic membranes. The membranes differed in number of channels and use of gas and backpulsing as a means of enhancing the critical flux was considered.
