    The estimation of the terminal falling velocity of spherical particles in non-Newtonian fluids

    The relationships are summarized for estimation of the terminal falling velocity of a single spherical particle moving in purely viscous or slightly elastic non-Newtonian fluids. The power-law and four-parameter Carreau models are used for the approximation of the liquid viscosity functions. The relationships for determination of the wall correction factor are also presented.
