Original language description
The redox reaction of distannyne 1 with S8 allowed the synthesis of organotin(II) sulfide [({2,6-(Me2NCH2)2C6H3}Sn)2S] (2) in the first step of the oxidation. The second step afforded the isolation of the heptathiadistannabicyclo[1.1.5]nonane [({2,6-(Me2NCH2)2C6H3}Sn(mý-S))2(mý-S5)] (3)-a new organotin(IV) polysulfide.
