New impedance spectroscopy for the study of dynamics of ionic transport: Case example in AgAsS2

  • Original language description

Dynamics of ionic transport is studied by conventional impedance spectroscopy (IS), in which the impedance data are used for determining parameter of an equivalent electric circuit. The main drawback of the conventional impedance spectroscopy is that itdoes not provide detail information about the dynamics of electronic properties. In IS of typical ionic conductors, the shape of real vs. imaginary part of the impedance plot with respect to applied frequency- consists of a high-frequency semicircle or its part and a low-frequency tail. The high-frequency semicircle represents properties of the bulk material and low-frequency tail is due to the electrode polarization. However the exact mechanism of the electrode polarization and dynamics of the ions arenot explained by this approach. We tried to overcome a drawback of conventional IS using an advanced concept of evaluation impedance spectroscopy data. In this concept the use of an equivalent circuit is not needed; the important paramet
