COD, BOD and AOX Measurement of Filtrates from Precipitation of Reactive Dyes by Ionic Liquids
Original language description
In this paper, the interaction between anionic reactive dyes and the ionic liquids (ILs) have been studied by precipitation. It was proved measurement of parameter of absorbance by UV-Vis spectroscopy at different molar ratio dye to ionic liquid. The precipitation of anionic reactive dyes was confirmed by chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and adsorbable organic halogen (AOX) measurements. The purpose of this study is to investigate removal efficiency of ionic liquids based onammonium or phosphonium quaternary salts. The results showed that an increase molar ratio ionic liquid vs. reactive dye led to decline all of studied parameters without pH adjustment at room-temperature.
