Amorphous Na2Ti4O9 paste was used as raw material for synthesis of rutile pigments Ti1-3xCrxNb2xO2. Color of these compounds is green to brown; composition x = 0.05 and calcination temperature 850 °C give the purest color (C = 39), namely green.
