Possibility of application of the mercury meniscus modified silver solid amalgam electrode (m-AgSAE) has been investigated for voltammetric analysis of herbicide metamitron (MM). Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and direct current voltammetry (DCV) has been usedfor study of the voltammetric behavior of analyzed substance depending on pH of supporting electrolyte and scan rate. Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) has been applied for herbicide determination. Finally, the proposed method has been successfully used in the analysis of spiked river water. All obtained results were compared with those achieved using hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE).
