Possibility of application of the mercury meniscus modified silver solid amalgam electrode (m-AgSAE) has been investigated for voltammetric analysis of insecticides pymetrozine and imidacloprid. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and direct current voltammetry (DCV) has been used for study of the voltammetric behavior of analyzed substances depending on pH of supporting electrolyte and scan rate. Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) has been applied for insecticides determination. Finally, the proposed methods have been successfully used in the analysis of insecticides preparations and spiked river water. All obtained results were compared with those achieved using hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE).
