The preparation, via transmetallation reaction of an appropriate lithium precursor and a tin(II)-containing compound, spectral properties (H-1 and Sn-119 NMR spectroscopy) and structure of the tin(II) complex [DippNC (Bu-n) NDipp]Sn{pTol-NC[N(SiMe3)(2)]N-pTol} containing both amidinato and guanidinato ligands is reported.
