Abstract: This paper presents possibilities of acoustic signal classification and acoustic signal preprocessing. The classificator can be realized on the basis of feed forward neural networks for two special types of signal (an explosion and a shot) fromself propelled howitzer ZUZANA. For signal preprocessing it is suitable fingerprint in framed, time-frequency representation of acoustic signal. Algorithms were realized in the MATLAB-Simulink with the data acquired during battlefield situation. The paper represents partial outcome of research work SONAR, sponsored by Ministry of Defense of Slovak Republic.
