This paper is focused on actual trends in Czech healing spa industry in connection with the research project "Spa industry as an economic segment of CR and Japan" realized at the Faculty of Economics and Administration of University of Pardubice in 2009.Paper is concerned on two important aspects of contemporary development of the spa industry - the demographic aspect and the economic aspect. Both influence the current situation a lot, because the situation of healing spa subjects result from the socioeconomic reality. That is even more important in the time of actual financial crisis.
