The Dynamics of the Change in Composition of University Graduates in the Czech Republic.
Original language description
The beginning of the 21st century is underway in a sign of great changes in the labor market. These changes can be registered both in the employers ' approach and in the access of job seekers. Changes in the structure of the national economy are accompanied by structural changes in occupied jobs and by increasing employers' demands for the competencies of a university-qualified workforce. Knowledge of at least one foreign language and excellent computer and information literacy are commonly required. However, knowledge and skills are becoming a key requirement of practice, but also the ability of undergraduates to acquire and use this knowledge effectively. Great emphasis is also placed on time and space flexibility, activity, creativity, initiative, teamwork and self-development. The aim of the paper is to present the conclusions of the research on the employability of university graduates in the labor market in the Czech Republic. A comparative analysis of the offer of university graduates' work in relation to the current labor market needs in the Czech Republic was carried out on statistical data over the past ten years. The evaluation and conclusions of this analysis demonstrate the existence of structural discordance and indicate the need for qualitative and quantitative changes in the professional structure of graduates and hence the need for reorganization of university education. As a serious problem showed also a increasing university graduate failure of university students.
