Možný vznik tečných relaxačních kmitů v povrchové vrstvě železničního kola
Original language description
The aim of this paper is a study of the microstructure transformations that are induced by rolling contact friction and wear in the rail - wheel - system, from the materials as well as the mechanical point of view. By studying the surface changes the relationship between load strength and the induced microstructure changes in the surface and subsurface layers of railway wheels and rails were examined. These results were discussed in relation to both the deformation mechanism at the wear surface and thetemperatures likely to be reached at the wheel-rail contact when the layer is formed. With respect to the intense damage of the contact bodies, the dangerous tangential motion of the superficial regions, so called "relaxation vibrations" of a thin surface layer, was proposed as a cause of these studied mechanisms.
