    The contribution deals with adhesive bond of a steel cord and rubber inside a car tire from metallography point of view. Authors proved by metallography that adhesive bond between steel cord and rubber is very sensitive to corrosive attack. The knowledgeabout the bond between cord-rubber is necessary for creation of FEM computational models of steel-cord belt. It requires a good verification of the FEM models for basic loading states. This is the only use these models for computations of combine loading states accrued from tire in operation.
