Paper deals with conditions of creation of the loop from a slender prismatic elastic beam loaded by torsional moments at its free ends. The loop occurs by achieving postcritical state of the beam. The problem is solved by dynamical simulation of discretenonlinear model obtained by the physical discretization of the continuous beam. There are four qualitative different steady states, which can be obtained by the simulation.
