    In the presented article is outlined analysis of galloping of slender cylindrical structural elements. Transverse oscillations of the cross-section known as a galloping are referenced and a quasi-static approach of its theoretic solution is adopted. Basic assumptions for arise of these vibration produced instabilities are named according to the European Standard ENV 1991. It is shown that the instable oscillations develop in case of a fulfilled Glawert - Den Hartog criterion. The description of the numerical model assembled in the ANSYS/Flotran computer code is given. Some of the numerically obtained data, e.g. the flow trace, are presented. Aerodynamic instability of a galloping-like type can be analyzed using quasi-static approach.
