This paper describes a non-linear computation of the static and dynamic response on loading of a suspension foot bridge. The response was determined from a global nonlinear finite element 3-dimensional computation model and a series of partial 3-D modelsfor the solutions by finite element method. The computations were performed using the ANSYS program system. The global detailed computation model consists of beam and shell elements.
