    Load-carrying capacity of steel-concrete compression members composed of high-strength materials

  • Original language description

    The paper is focused on some problems of the actual behaviour and load-carrying capacity of steel-concrete members composed of high-strength steel (HSS) and high-performance concrete (HPC). In this paper basic illustrative information on selected resultsof experimental verification comparing with theoretical analysis for the particular type of these composite compression members is presented, for specimens of two cross-section types - circular tube (filled by concrete) and H-section (with concrete encasement between flanges), made of materials of these properties - steel yield strength of about 360 MPa and 450 MPa and concrete cube strength of about 100 MPa.
